Warning: This is a picture-heavy post. I will try to keep it brief because I don't want this post to have 5 full reviews in it :P
I have never thought I'd have dry skin! When I was living in Hong Kong, my skin was kinda oily (mostly T-zone area though), but after moving to Canada, my skin changes a lot because of the super low humidity! Therefore, products I buy most often now have this one main function - HYDRATING! So now I'm gonna share with you guys (more like girls haha) my secret to hydrated skin! Oh and one more thing, I'm sure many of you know about this, but this is for those who don't. If your skin is too dry, it may lead to oiliness! So we really have to cure the basic problem before solving another :)
All of these products worth 5 out of 5 to be very honest :)
1. Etude House - Moistfull Super Collagen Multi Stick
I thought there was water spilling out from the stick when I first tried it. It sounds ridiculous but this was my real reaction! It does such an amazing job by instantly hydrating my skin. You basically just need to apply this stick on any area of your skin that is dry or chapped. Another good thing about this product is you can take it anywhere because it's really small and convenient to use. I really think this is one of the best products made by Etude House, if not the best :D
2. Banila Co. - Moisturizing Finish Cream with Make-up Boosting Complex
Avoid this if you hate texture similar to Vaseline, BUT I really love Vaseline!! This finishing cream is a really thick cream, some people might think it is too thick or sticky, but to me, it's perfectly fine for my skin and dry climate. I don't really pay attention on how it makes my makeup stick around longer (that's the product feature emphasized by Banila Co. though). But it is really moisturizing! After applying this cream, you'll feel like "okay my skin is ready for makeup..." My skin does not just love this product, my skin NEEDS it. I really can't do my makeup without this cream now!
3. Kracie (肌美精) - Hadabisei Moisturizing Facial Mask (Extra Rich)
I have no background knowledge about this mask before buying, because I didn't do a lot of researches on beauty products before travelling to Japan. I basically just observed what Japanese women buy in drug stores and grab whatever they buy. Sounds like a creeper haha. But trust me, this is a really good way to buy things from foreign countries because locals know best! Back to the mask, when I used this mask in Hong Kong, I was like "why am I putting a sticky gluey mask on my face? Eww..." But when I tried using it in Canada, I was like "WOW! This is a really hydrating mask!" It doesn't have the sticky feeling anymore. Also, it almost fits my face perfectly, it fits better than many Korean brands!
I feel like I should explain how this mask should be used in our routine as it stated on the back. After cleansing, apply toner, then use this mask, after that, apply cream or lotion. Because sometimes, I skip the toner part and use mask directly after cleansing.
4. Etude House - Face Conditioning Cream (SPF25/PA++)
My cousin borrowed me this cream when I had a sleepover at her place. She didn't give me any other cream or essence or lotion so I put on my BB cream right after applying this face conditioning cream. I can't believe my skin was actually well-primed with this cream! It has a thick texture but I don't have a hard time in blending it on my skin. This kind of replaces my favorite makeup base from The Face Shop, and I use this every day now :)
5. Etude House - Baby Doll Puff
Last but not least, and it's Etude House again! Well I got tons of products from them because I just can't resist their cute packaging! I took this photo after I use it so you will see there is some BB cream on the puff haha. Anyways, this isn't really a product that will hydrate your skin, but this does make your dull and dehydrated skin a glossy and glowing finish. Try applying BB cream or foundation with this kind of puffs and you'll see there's difference between applying it with fingertips :)
Thanks for reading! And I hope these products will help :) Comment if you have any other good suggestions for dry skin, or if you want me to do a full review on any of these products!
